"Nothing provides a thrill quite like seeing
bears in the unbridled nature of wild Alaska!"
Bear Encounter - Alaska
In Alaska, it just may happen: you're suddenly face to face with a grizzly bear!
Every summer bears come down to the rivers to gorge on salmon. With their sharp claws and teeth, they catch a salmon from the river and devour it in a short time. Bears build up a layer of fat before beginning their long winter sleep.
Viewing wildlife is high on the wish list of every Alaskan traveler. But to encounter and observe animals in their natural habitat is always a matter of patience and luck!
